May 1st – “Labor Day”

May 1st is an official holiday, and of course that’s great news for all students—there’s no school in any of the federal states! May 1st falls on a Friday this year, which means everyone can enjoy a long weekend!

No school!

May 1st is an official holiday, and of course that’s great news for all students—there’s no school in any of the federal states!

May 1st falls on a Friday this year, which means everyone can enjoy a long weekend!

But to everyone who still has to write exams or papers: You might want to get some schoolwork done before it’s too late and you run out of time.

What can you do in Selm or the surrounding area?

You can make the day enjoyable, but anyone who doesn’t have a garden or doesn’t want to stay home all day can head to Auenpark and Ternscher See in Selm or just go out with friends.

You can also check out open-air parties, May Day markets, or just wander around cities like Lünen or Dortmund.

Happy May Day!

Selma Lagerlöf Secondary School wishes you a wonderful May Day and a great long weekend
