Music
Music at the Selma-Lagerlöf-Sekundarschule Selm
In Music lessons at the Selma Lagerlöf Secondary School in Selm, students are given the opportunity to discover and develop their musical abilities. Through a wide range of musical activities — also beyond regular music lessons — students are encouraged to express themselves creatively. With various instruments, vocal training sessions, and music theory lessons, students gain a comprehensive understanding of the world of music. At the same time, we regularly encourage them to think beyond their usual horizons by introducing them to music they would not normally encounter in their everyday lives.
By making music together in class or in one of the school music clubs, students not only learn musical techniques but also develop teamwork and a sense of community.
Regular concerts and performances provide students with the opportunity to showcase their musical talents and perform in front of an audience. This strengthens their self-confidence and stage presence. Music at the Selma Lagerlöf Secondary School in Selm is therefore not just another subject on the timetable, but an important part of the students’ holistic education and personal development.
