Biology
Biology is the natural science of the living. Biology lessons therefore focus on plants, animals and humans. Exciting experiments, examinations with the microscope or model experiments should not be missing in any case.
Biology is taught at the SLS in grades 7 and 9.
As part of the science lessons in grades 5 and 6, the students are already introduced to some scientific working methods and biological content. These are deepened in biology lessons.
The SLS is equipped with a total of two specialist rooms for biology. These offer students enough space to interact in student- and action-oriented forms of work. Likewise, the specialist rooms have the necessary electricity and gas connections for the lessons to enable experimental phases in cooperative cooperation. Furthermore, research and presentation tasks with the help of digital media shape self-directed learning in biology lessons.
In addition, a school garden is available to the students, which becomes an attractive place to learn for special teaching content.
