The organization of native language instruction—which is offered by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia as an additional program for students in grades 1 through 10 who are growing up with two or more languages and have at least a basic knowledge of their respective native language—is the responsibility of the Unna district for our school.

The instruction is provided in accordance with state guidelines and is subject to state school supervision. These classes take place in addition to regular instruction (usually in the afternoon). Since not every school can offer instruction in every native language, children from several schools are sometimes taught together.
